I always take a lot of care to design websites that are creative and artistic. The last David crowder*Band site was actually hung on a wall in an art show! So I customize in flash which adds animation and, if not overdone, looks professional.

Many times I integrate rss feeds into my websites, so that updates are automatic! You just update your favorite social networking site, and the website updates news, photos, or videos. I am also starting to offer a great CMS (Content Management System) which allows people to update their own site.
